TERMS & CONDITIONS

By accessing and using C’est Elle Hire, you are accepting and consenting to the practices outlined in these Terms & Conditions. This is a legally binding agreement between C’est Elle Hire and the Client.

C’est Elle Hire reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

“C’est Elle Hire” (“we”, “our”, “us”) refers to C’est Elle Hire.
“Client” (“you”, “your”) refers to the individual hiring the garment.
“RRP” refers to the Recommended Retail Price (replacement value) of the garment.

01 BOOKINGS

Bookings are not secured until full payment has been made via our website. Enquiries and try-on appointments do not reserve garments for your selected date.

Garments cannot be collected or posted without full payment being received.

Our standard hire period is 3 days, inclusive of the collection/postage day and return day unless otherwise agreed in writing.

02 CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Once payment has been made, we operate under a strict no-refund policy.

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must contact us immediately. A credit note or change of date may be offered in exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of C’est Elle Hire.

Credit notes:

  • Are valid for 3, 6, or 12 months (as specified by us)
  • Are final once issued
  • Cannot be converted to cash
  • Must be used in one transaction

Postage fees are non-refundable in all circumstances.

If an order is cancelled by C’est Elle Hire, you will be refunded the total amount paid minus any non-refundable transaction fees (e.g. Shopify, Afterpay, PayPal).

 

 

03 ITEM COLLECTION

Local Collection

Local collection is located in Brisbane (exact address provided upon booking confirmation).

Collection times must be arranged prior to arrival. It is the Client’s responsibility to collect the garment. Failure to collect does not qualify for a refund or credit note.

 

Postage

Australia-wide express postage is offered via Australia Post.

C’est Elle Hire is not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by Australia Post once the parcel has been lodged within the recommended delivery timeframe.

It is the Client’s responsibility to:

  • Provide a correct and secure delivery address
  • Track the parcel
  • Collect the parcel promptly

If a garment goes missing due to incorrect details or an insecure delivery location, the Client is liable for late fees and/or the full RRP of the garment.

 

04 RETURNS

Local Returns

Garments must be returned to the agreed location on the final day of your hire period by the agreed time. Garments must not be left unattended without prior written approval.

 

Postal Returns

Garments must be lodged at an Australia Post office by 2PM on the return date using the express return label provided.

If your return date falls on a Sunday, the garment must be lodged by 2PM the following Monday.

You must obtain and provide proof of lodgement.

 

Late Fees

Late fees apply at $15 per day.

If the garment is not returned within 4 days of the agreed return date, C’est Elle Hire reserves the right to charge an additional hire fee and/or the full RRP of the garment.

Garments must be returned via the same method as originally received unless otherwise approved.

 

05 GARMENT CARE & CLEANING

Clients must treat all garments with care.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Alterations, stitching, or pinning
  • Fabric tape without written approval
  • Washing or dry cleaning the garment yourself

All garments are professionally cleaned by C’est Elle Hire.

If a garment is returned damaged but repairable, the Client is responsible for all repair and specialist cleaning costs.

If a garment is deemed irreparable, permanently damaged, lost, or stolen, C’est Elle Hire reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the RRP of the garment.

RRP charges are in addition to the original hire fee and cleaning costs.

Failure to pay outstanding damage or replacement fees within 14 days may result in further action as outlined below.

 

06 GARMENT CONDITION

Clients acknowledge that garments are pre-worn unless stated as brand new.

Minor signs of wear (such as small pulls or faint marks) are not grounds for refund.

If you believe you have received a damaged garment, you must contact us within 4 hours of collection or delivery with clear photo evidence.

Failure to notify within this timeframe voids any dispute rights.

Refund eligibility is determined solely by C’est Elle Hire.

 

07 TRY-ONS

$10 non-refundable fee is required to secure a try-on appointment.

The fee:
• Is redeemable only toward the exact garment(s) tried on during your appointment
• Must be redeemed within 30 days of the appointment date
• Is non-refundable for unsuccessful try-ons
• Is forfeited in the case of cancellations or no-shows
• Must be redeemed at checkout at the time of booking

Unredeemed try-on fees are not refundable.

08 IDENTITY VERIFICATION & DEBT RECOVERY

C’est Elle Hire reserves the right to request valid government-issued photo identification prior to releasing any garment. This may include a driver’s licence or passport.

By providing identification, the Client consents to C’est Elle Hire securely storing this information for the purposes of:

  • Identity verification
  • Fraud prevention
  • Enforcement of these Terms & Conditions
  • Debt recovery in the event of non-payment, loss, theft, or damage

Failure to provide valid identification when requested may result in cancellation of the booking without refund.

If any outstanding fees (including late fees, repair costs, cleaning fees, or RRP charges) remain unpaid after 14 days of written notice, C’est Elle Hire reserves the right to refer the matter to a licensed debt recovery agency or pursue legal recovery. Any recovery, administrative, or legal costs incurred may be added to the outstanding balance.
